Your Gold Sold is operated by the Howard Academy for the Metal Arts located in Stoughton, Wisconsin. The Academy is operated by headmaster William L. Howard, master goldsmith Missy Howard, blacksmith Aaron Howard, master silversmith Glenn Prescott and other part time and guest experts for the purpose of furthering techniques in the metal arts field.
Goldsmiths and jewelers from all over the world have trained at HAMA and have won awards for their work in regional, national and international competition. The Academy is the place where goldsmiths and jewelers go to learn their trade. The Howard Academy for the Metal Arts is licensed by the State of Wisconsin Educational Approval Board. We also provide services and consultations for various government agencies, law enforcement, municipalities, the University of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Jeweler’s Association and others.
As metal artists we take great pride in our industry and feel embarrassed by the unscrupulous business practices of some of our competitors on the national TV market. We hope to bring ethics back into a trade which has traditions going back over 2000 years. It is our goal to show a profit for our investors and pay the highest and fairest prices we can. 50% of all profits go to help support the Howard Academy for the Metal Arts. Some of the profits are donated to the HAMA Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity established to provide scholarships and further education in the metal arts field.
We are from Stoughton, Wisconsin, not New York or Miami. We are local and do our best to please our customers with our service, secure shipping and fair pricing. We have roots and a permanent location which our customers can do business at if they wish to make an appointment. We pay more than the other guys, a lot more, and we feel that if we treat people fairly and honestly they will tell their friends and neighbors about us and the volume of business we need to succeed will come naturally.
